The Famous Nine Covid-19 Golfer Etiquette

We are open daily 8am-8pm. To ensure your safety and that of our staff servicing the golf course, we would politely ask that you observe the following temporary rules and guidelines:

  • We are currently not providing pre-booked tee times: simply turn up to play and be patient with fellow golfers
  • Always keep to social distancing guidelines, both in the car park and on the golf course
  • Payment will be made in the golf shop by accepted debit and credit card only – please do NOT pay by cash
  • Use hand sanitiser points outside golf reception on passing through and after the entrance gate
  • When waiting to go onto the first tee, please wait on the pathway by the Lakeside Lodges adjacent to the two metre distancing signs
  • A maximum of 4 people from different households allowed to play together
  • We have placed a bung in each cup to stop your golf ball falling all the way into the cup, to make it safer for you to retrieve your ball. Please leave the bungs in the cup and do not remove as they are there for everyone’s safety
  • Ideally we advise you to bring all the equipment you need. However, if you do hire any equipment please leave it adjacent to the rear of golf reception for the equipment to be sanitised and do NOT take it back inside the shop after your round
  • Smooth the bunkers with your club or shoes, rakes have been temporarily removed
  • Please do not touch the flag sticks or remove them
  • If you come across stray golf balls please do not pick them up
  • Observe all signage and social distancing or you may be asked to leave the course without refund
  • To avoid gatherings, please leave the course expediently once your game is completed, this includes our car parking areas
  • We ask that you do not use the benches or golf ball cleaners around the course for your own safety unless you carry hand gel with you and gel your hands before and after use.
Enjoy your round of golf and don’t forget your loyalty card and to post photos on our Famous Nine Facebook page
