Why is Cornwall the UK’s No1 destination for dog friendly breaks?
All dogs love to let loose and stretch their legs once in a while, don’t they? In Cornwall they can burn off some of that pent-up energy like never before! There’s miles of dog friendly sandy beaches where they can have a splash or go for a swim.
In-land, there’s lots of countryside and woodland where they can sniff out new smells and explore until their heart’s content.
Below are just a few of our favourite things to do nearby with your pooch…
- Mexico Towans Beach: Head west along the North Cornwall coast from our resort to the mouth of the Hayle Estuary and you will find Mexico Towans. This is part of a 4-mile-liong stretch of sand that finished at Godrevy Lighthouse. It’s the perfect place for your dog to stretch their legs!
- Tehidy Woods: Just a short drive Landal Gwel an Mor is this beautiful woodland, which is part of Tehidy Country Park. It’s full of trails, routes and waterways, it’s a popular spot for dog walkers. Plus there’s a café where you can grab a bite to eat, too.
- Trengwainton Gardens: Discover one of Cornwall’s most beautiful woodland gardens, which is owned by the National Trust. Dogs on leads are welcomed here
