What’s On in Cornwall this August

School’s out, the promise of a long summer stretches ahead
of us and Cornwall becomes star of the show for many long awaited getaways. Make
the most of the sunny days and get out there and explore!

Paulos Circus, Newquay
 – until 2nd September

Back bigger and brighter than ever before, don’t miss all
the fun of the circus!

Journey Into Space at
– until 3rd September

your intergalactic adventure at the Astronaut Academy, embark on a solar
Safari, journey around the solar system and meet some aliens! The perfect
adventure for kids this summer at the Eden Project.

Circus Funtasia, Helston – 2nd – 6th

class live entertainment featuring death-defying motorcycle riders, dynamic
juggling, tight-rope walking, heart-stopping rollerskating, amazing acrobats,
non-stop comedy and much more!

Falmouth Week – 4th – 13th August

The largest sailing regatta in the south west
with more than 450 beautiful yachts racing in the harbour plus lots of fun for
the land lubbers with firework displays, party night, live music, street theatre
and craft markets.

Firework Spectacular, Flambards – Mon & Wed
through August

Spend a day with the thrill rides of the theme
park and then watch the sky light up for a glittering end to a great day!

Boardmasters Surf & Music Festival, Newquay – 9th
– 13th August

Boardmasters returns to the stunning sun-drenched
Cornish coastline for another year, giving festival goers the hottest surf and
music action in the UK.

Cornish Steam & Country Fair, Stithians – 18th
– 20th August

Almost a hundred full size and mini steam engines
from all over the country come together at Stithians Showground. Vintage cars,
tractors, steam cars, military vehicles, heavy horses, a fun fair, live music
and lots more family fun.

Newlyn Fish Festival – 28th August

Celebrating all things fishy in Britain’s premier
fishing port. Cookery demos, food stalls, three music stages, boats, arts and
crafts, story telling and of course the best seafood you’ll ever eat!
