Our Lodges

Easter in Cornwall

If you are on a family holiday in Cornwall for Easter 2017 then make sure you make the most of your time. Easter in Cornwall means egg hunts, beaches, coast paths and days out at great attractions. To be sure you don’t miss out here are some of our recommendations for the Easter holiday.

Here at Gwel an Mor, if you are staying with us we will ensure
there is a fun family egg trail with prizes for all those taking part, as well
as kids parties in our events barns with children’s entertainer. Entertain the kids with Clip’n’Climb climbing at Base Camp, or book onto a wildlife experience at Feadon Farm.

Here are some ideas elsewhere in Cornwall…

Eden Project

The world famous biomes always put on a great schedule of
activities during school holidays. During the Easter break you’ll be able to
take part in quizzes and trails for Easter eggs alongside other fun such as an
inflatable assault course.

Flambards

The theme park at Helston will re-open for 2017 in time for
the Easter break. There will be plenty for kids of all ages, including the new
‘Sky Swinger’ that seats up to 48 people and travels at up to 70kph!

Paradise Park

Down the road from us in Hayle is Paradise Park. The bird
sanctuary will have egg trails and quizzes. The break also means that bird
shows/flying will begin again for the season which is always worth watching. If
you are with us, you could book onto a falconry experience at Feadon Farm too.

National Trust Gardens and Properties

There will be activities during the Easter break at most National
Trust properties and gardens. Try an easter egg trail at Trerice, Lanhydrock,
Godolphin, Trengwainton or Glendurgan. There’ll also be other activities to
enjoy during the holidays, with details to be announced closer to the time, so
make sure you plan a trip to the likes of St Michael’s Mount or Trelissick
Gardens.

English Heritage Pendennis Castlte

Head to Pendennis Castle in Falmouth for ‘Pirates A-hoy’ and
join in the holiday fun. Kids will be able to learn about the history of
sea-faring bandits in Cornwall and join in the usual egg hunt fun.
