Our Lodges

Best Breakfasts in Cornwall

A naughty breakfast is always top of the list of holiday
goals, so we’ve done the hard work (!) and discovered the best breakfasts
near Gwel An Mor so you can skip the washing up!

Base Camp Café

Just a short stroll from your lodge, our Café serves up delicious
breakfasts every day. Nothing but the best goes into our breakfast so you’ll
find organic yogurt, free range eggs, Cornish honey and local sausages. Plenty
of veggie and gluten free options too as well as kid’s size brekkies. We can’t
resist the Eggs Benedict…

Hells Mouth Café, Gwithian

Just a short drive along the coast road towards Gwithian you’ll
come across this great little café right on the cliffside. Can you take on
their ‘Hell of a Breakfast’? If you get a little pang of guilt after all that
indulgence then there are stunning coast path walks right from the café. Plenty
of free parking too.

Baker Tom’s Café, Pool

Tucked away on an industrial estate just 10 mins drive from
Gwel An Mor, you could easily drive past this one, but don’t! Baker Tom has
gained a reputation as one of the best artisanal bakers in Cornwall with his
amazing bread and cakes using traditional baking methods and the finest organic
ingredients – this café does not disappoint! Breakfast and lunch are something
special here, with great coffee too!

A fantastic place to stock up on freshly made sandwiches,
cakes and drinks for a picnic too!

The Vineyard Table, Lelant

Scarlet Wines & The Vineyard Table is a little gem – a wine
shop, deli and restaurant in one! Try something a little different and have a breakfast
with a Mediterranean/Eastern twist – Anchovy Toast or Baked Eggs with Feta and
Chorizo. Also does a cracking full English!
