We thought it would be nice to explain some of the activities that you can take part in down at Feadon Farm. The farm is an amazing place, doing some incredible conservation projects and looking after native British wildlife.
First up is Badger Watch, which is, as you might expect, an evening activity. Here at Feadon we have a purpose built hide where our visitors can sit in comfort, drink hot chocolate and eat a Brownie while waiting for the Badgers to appear. Our Head Ranger Gary Zammit will entertain/inform you with his encyclopaedic knowledge whilst showing you previous badger visits to the hide.
Although we can’t always guarantee that the badgers will play ball and come and see us, we can encourage it! A little peanut butter spread on the front window of the hide always seems to do the trick…as you can see below.
We usually run at least one Badger Watch a week for a maximum of twelve people, so advance booking is essential.
If you need any further encouragement, have a look at these amazing images captured by Suezan Elliot.
