Valentine’s Day calls for luxury indulgence, so perhaps it’s the time to push the boat out when it comes to drinks?
Yes, there are some very flamboyant and pretty cocktails out there to choose from, many with very seductive names, but here at The Terrace Restaurant we prefer to keep it a little more classy.
Here is a Champagne based cocktail recipe for you…..a Barbotage.
- 1/2 oz. cognac or brandy
- 1/4 oz. orange liqueur (like Triple Sec or Grand Marnier)
- 4 oz. dry (Brut) sparkling wine, very cold
- 1 slice of orange
- Measure the cognac/brandy and orange liqueur into a brandy snifter or Champagne flute. Top with the sparkling wine. Add a slice of orange.
