Reindeer Settled

Added 4 yearss ago

Just in time for Christmas last year, British born baby reindeer brothers Nadelik and Lowen arrived at their new home: Feadon Farm Wildlife Centre, here at Gwel an Mor.  The recent snow turned this beautiful part of Cornwall into a Winter Wonderland and the reindeer are now enjoying their second winter of snow.  Gary Zammit, our Wildlife and Conservation Manager says "The reindeer are really in their element when it snows, it is truly noticeable how happy they are here on the farm and how well they have settled in".

Word at Gwel an Mor is that the big man himself sent them down to test out the resort for his and Mrs Claus future holidays, the resort came up trumps and now the reindeer are here to stay for good.

Accepted as Cornish residents, Cornish language partnership; Maga, have featured the handsome pair on their 2010 Christmas cards, a fitting design as their names translate to 'Merry Christmas' in the Cornish language.

The reindeer complete with stable nativity are available to come and meet on Winter Wonderland Wildlife Walks.
