This year has been another award-winning one for Gwel an Mor, we're absolutely delighted to have won a total of four awards from two award ceremonies, and have received a two prestigious shortlistings for a possible fifth and sixth in 2014, including the Holiday Village of the Year at the national VisitEngland awards.
Firstly, the 2013 Hoseasons awards took place in Southport in November, recognising achievements among the 560 parks Hoseasons represents.
Not only did we win the Best Lodge Escape in Cornwall, we were also named the Best Park in Britain out of all 560..., and the first one ever to win this prestigious award twice! We won this award first time around in 2010, which means so much because it's voted for by Hoseasons customers. Thank you to everyone who supported us.
Here's a shot from the awards night, showing our delighted Owner Bill, Commercial Director Sandy and General Manager Nico accepting the prize from Geoff Cowley, Managing Director for Wyndham Vacation Rentals UK.

Then, just a couple of days after the Hoseasons awards, the 2013 Cornwall Tourism awards at the Headland Hotel in Newquay, where we won the Gold award for Holiday Village & Resort of the Year and Silver in the Wildlife Friendly Business award.
Here's our Marketing Manager Liz, General Manager Nico and Housekeeping Manager Barbara accepting the Gold award for Holiday Village & Resort of the Year - with the Kernow King.
We're absolutely over the moon with all of our award wins, thanks again to Hoseasons and Visit Cornwall for laying on two fabulous events. Congratulations too to all the other deserving winners.
Finally, thanks to our win in the Holiday Village category at the Cornwall Tourism awards, we've been shortlisted for the same award at the South West Tourism Excellence awards, due to take place in January 2014. Not only that, but we are one of 59 of the South West finalists to also be chosen to go on to carry the South West’s flag in the national VisitEngland awards in May.
Needless to say we're very happy with our accolades, wish us luck for next year too!
