Exciting news for all you engaged couples out there... Gwel an Mor now has a full wedding licence!
Both our stunning Events Barn and our new Tepee are now fully licensed
to play host to romantic rural nuptials, from the ceremony itself to the reception.
The first couple to tie the knot here at Gwel an Mor will be childhood sweethearts, Eric Laity and Katie Dell from Pool.
We can't wait for the soon-to-be Mr and Mrs Laity to christen our wedding licence and we couldn't think of a nicer couple to be first to do so. Especially as they got engaged in Tehidy woods, just a stone’s throw from Gwel an Mor.
Eric planned a romantic walk among the bluebells on the day he proposed to Katie, she explained: “It was lovely, but he did go as white as a sheet before he asked!
Eric added: “I was forgiven for not going down on one knee, as I was due to go in for an operation on it a few weeks later!”
The couple will get hitched in the Tepee before being joined by family and friends in the rustic Events Barn.
Our Events manager Liz Rowe said: “We are delighted to be able to offer
our future brides and grooms the opportunity to now get married at Gwel
an Mor, instead of just hosting their reception here.
We offer truly bespoke wedding packages, so each couple will be assured that their wedding is as unique as they are.”
Our marriage license means that wedding parties will be able to choose between the Tepee and the Barn as a venue to say their vows.
