
Once
again, Gwel an Mor, Cornwall’s leading 5 Star Holiday resort are celebrating an
impressive week of award wins with special thanks this time going to their
resident furry friends.
At
the Cornwall Tourism Awards for 2012, Gwel an Mor’s Feadon Farm and their
programme of animal experiences and conservation activities were given the
highest honour, with Gold for the Wildlife Friendly Business Award. This new
category for 2012 was introduced to celebrate the 50th Anniversary
of the Cornwall Wildlife Trust. The same day Feadon Farm also achieved a Gold
honour in recognition of their outstanding work in the David Bellamy
Conservation Awards 2012/2013.
Run
by the enthusiastic husband and wife team of Gary and Alyson Zammit, Feadon
Farm, part of the Gwel an Mor resort,
brings wildlife to life by inspiring and educating visitors with hands-on
nature encounters focused on British wildlife. The farm is also home for an
array of animals, who have mostly been rescued, and who now help to educate and
engage all who visit.
At
the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2012, Gwel an Mor also went onto receive the Gold
award for Outstanding Customer Service for the second year in a row, proving
their continued commitment and dedication to staying at the top of the Cornish
tourism industry.
This multi-award winning holiday destination and VisitEngland’s current holder of “Most Outstanding Holiday Park 2012”, also scored an impressive Silver in the Holiday Park of the year Award at the Cornwall Tourism event.
Now
in their eleventh year, the Cornwall Tourism Awards which are hosted by
VisitCornwall have become a recognised barometer for quality and a celebration
of the county’s tourism industry’s passion for excellence. As winners, Gwel an
Mor will now go on to represent Cornwall in the regional South West Tourism
Excellence Awards 2012/13 and potentially the national VisitEngland Awards for
Excellence in 2013.

wins, Gwel an Mor won the Hoseason’s (the largest accommodation agency in the
UK) 2012 Diamond Award for best Lodge Escape , for the exceptional quality and
outstanding customer service, for the 6th year in a row!
