Vole Conservation Programme

The team at Feadon Farm are now part of a national programme to help in the conservation and breeding of voles. The voles will be bred here at Gwel an Mor and released into the wild when they are deemed capable of survival, this has the aim of increasing population. In the UK the vole is one of the fastest declining mammals, so it is imperative that something is done to aid their survival.

So, Gary Zammit our Ranger has been somewhat occupied by a new arrival. Frank the Fox Cub was bought in after being found at the side of the road, abandoned and just one week old. At this point his eyes were still closed and he needed an awful lot of TLC.
