At Gwel an Mor Resort, you are not far from the fabulous golden sandy beach at Hayle, which is a dog friendly beach all year round as are nearby Mexico Towans and Upton Towans. Portreath itself is dog friendly for parts of the year, and operates a seasonal ban from April to October, but dogs are still allowed before 7am and after 7pm.
And our luxury resort is only a couple of minutes from Tehidy Woods, where there are acres of trails and woodland where your dog can run free. You can also explore the many tracks that run across the countryside from Gwel an Mor itself.
Cornwall is, on the whole, tremendously accessible with a dog, from the abundance of friendly local pubs, to the larger attractions such as the Eden Project (where dogs are welcome in the gardens) and a host of National Trust sites.
On site at Gwel an Mor we have plenty of space and time for dogs, as long as they are as well behaved as their owners! So whether you want a short break or a week-long stay you can bring your pet with you and save on kennel costs, we'll even supply a mini welcome pack for your dog!
Alternatively, you can reach us on the dog and bone...sorry. Call 01209 842 354 and book your dog friendly accommodation in Cornwall.
There are a variety of pet friendly lodges at the resort, plus countless options for walking dogs nearby.
