Whether you are a newcomer to the sport or an experienced surfer, you can enjoy surfing at our local Portreath beach. If you are a beginner, you can hire equipment, enrol for lessons and make fast progress. And if you are an experienced surfer, you will have a great time at Portreath. 

As well as the local beach in Portreath,  just a 10 minute drive along the coast road takes you to Godrevy beach, another renowned surf spot featured in this video.

Alternatively, you could try bodyboarding, - an activity that is so straightforward and easy that there is no reason why practically everyone should not enjoy the surf on their holiday break.

On Portreath Beach for the 2010 season, we are pleased to see the launch of West Cornwall Adventure, a highly professional company offering surfing, coasteering and kayaking at Portreath Beach.

Sit on top kayaking is a wonderful way to get out onto the water and explore the nooks and crannies of the coastline.

Coasteering is another new addition for the 2010 season on the beach. Coasteering is an awesome activity that includes traversing the rocks around the coastline, jumping into the water and swimming. The activity is fully supervised and is great fun.
