After winning at the Cornwall Tourism Awards in 2011 we were entered into the South West Tourism Awards in 2012 which celebrate the most outstanding tourism businesses in the South West, recognising those businesses which excel in the regions top industry.
2011- At the 10th annual Cornwall Tourism Awards, organised by Visit Cornwall, we won the prestigious Gold title in the 'Holiday Village of the Year' award. The judges also felt the unfailing commitment of the team at Gwel an Mor to exceptional customer care deserved special acknowledgment, which led to our second honour of the evening; a special award for 'Outstanding Customer Service'. 2010- In 2010 the self catering establishment awards were split into both large and small, after a visit from Cornwall Tourisms secret shopper to judge every aspect of our business we proudly picked up a silver award for this category. A comment from the assessment ... Quality of the experience- "Superb throughout- all lodges equipped and furnished to a very high standard and staff at Gwel an Mor first rate" 2009- We won this coveted award, judged by our peers in the tourism industry, Cornwall Tourism send out secret shoppers to judge every aspect of our business, and their comments at the awards ceremony were as follows... "The star of the night for the area was Portreath’s Gwel an Mor which offers luxurious lodge accommodation overlooking the north coast. Its impeccable standards and attention to detail make them worthy winners of the Gold award for Self-Catering Establishment of the Year".
2011 Outstanding Customer Service Award
Another brilliant achievement, judges by Hoseasons for Outstanding Customer Service. 
A great achievement , judged by Hoseasons guests this award depicts Gwel an Mor as the best holiday park in Britain.

Many previous guests have rated our resort 5 out of 5 on the online review website Trip Advisor, resulting in us being awarded with a Certificate of Excellence.

In particular our resident wildlife expert Gary Zammit was singled out for his "enthusiasm and passion. By introducing guests to Cornish wildlife Gary provides a unique and memorable holiday experience for all ages".
We are extremely proud to be awarded this prestigious award by David Bellamy, the award is judged on our work and commitment to sustainability, and our care for the environment and wildlife, something we take very seriously at Gwel an Mor.
2009 "Diamond Award For Outstanding Customer Service" Hoseasons are the largest booking agency in the UK, we are very pleased to work with them as we believe they hold the same values as ourselves in wanting to deliver exceptional holidays to their guests, they act as agents for over 440 parks and resorts in the UK, they have given us their highest Diamond Award in both 2008, and 2009.
2008 Guardian Newpaper Gwel an Mor was completed in the summer of 2008 following 3 years of construction, to be judged as one of the top ten destinations by this highly regarded newspaper was exceptional, they commented....
"Gwel an Mor is re-inventing the English Seaside Self Catering Holiday, with a village of five star self catering lodges that offer families or groups their own private space combined with the kind of facilities you would expect from a hotel - bar and restaurant, gym, pool, sauna, steam room as well as spa".
